Peta & Darcy – The Ville, Townsville

    By Sally M | Wedding Photography | 0 comment | 23 March, 2021 | 0

    Love lights up The Ville!

The annual Charters Towers Goldfield Ashes cricket carnival is a premier event in North Queensland. Not only can it boast that it is the largest amateur cricket carnival in the southern hemisphere, but in 2015 it was there that Peta and Darcy met. And they both knew it was something special straight away, Darcy is the ying to Peta’s yang!

Both coming from families with a history of being part of the grazing industry, Peta & Darcy are committed to a life on the land, it is great to see young people that share a love for the bush, Australia needs the coming generations to maintain and grow our agriculture industry.

It was beside a creek on their cattle property south of Tully that Darcy proposed on New Years Day in 2020, never could they have imagined the year to come! Not only a world wide pandemic but Darcy was badly injured while mustering cattle resulting in a long and difficult stint in hospital. But nothing was going to stop them from walking down the aisle, their commitment to each other, while surely tested was only strengthened. Peta’s words say it all… ‘I love how resilient Darcy is, no matter what is thrown at him he handles it without a worry. Darcy and I have been through a lot in our 6 years of loving each other, we have always managed to overcome everything in our path together and that has made us stronger than ever.’

I have no doubt their life together will be as wonderful as their wedding day ❤️
