Monique & Brayden’s Atherton Tablelands Wedding

The Atherton Tablelands is a very beautiful part of the world, it’s made for weddings. The temperate air, the incredible views, a very peaceful place.

Perfect for love.

With all their fav people together, Monique & Brayden ushered in their nuptials starting at Monique’s grandparents home who’s crystal clear stream running through the rain forest that was their back yard provided the backdrop. It had been raining in the morning and the skies opened to herald in the proceedings.

The reception was at the home of Moniques parents, Pezzelato Farms with an impressive marquee and lights that sparkled with the stars.

A highlight of the day for me was when Monique casually said that her Dad had planted the 100 acres of canola so it would be blooming for the wedding. Just how damn cool is that?

How did you two meet and what were your first impressions?

M: We first met in high school. Brayden had just transferred for a cairns boarding school. I thought it was city boy at first but little did I know he was a real country kid that loved working out bush and on stations. I thought he was cute and his smile at mischief written all over it. Bray was a bit of a class clown. I loved that he was able to always make everyone laugh even the teachers.

B: I thought she was a bit of a social butterfly, talking to everyone. She had a nice smile and infectious laugh.

How did he/she propose?

We were on month long road trip going through Northern Territory. We spent a week up in Gove, this is where Brayden grew up till he was about 14 years old. While we were up there we went on fishing charter. Apart of the fishing charter was going to a remote island called Bremer Island for lunch. Brayden proposed on the island out looking the ocean. It was beautiful and I will never forget it! That day I caught the biggest fish I had every caught and got engaged!

What do you love most about each other?

M: Brayden always has me smiling, he is quite cheeky to say the least. Always pushing me out of comfort zone but supporting me through everything I do. He has terrible ‘dad’ jokes but he makes me laugh every time. He is the hardest working person I know

B: no matter how much I annoy her she stills loves me, she is always open and willing to have a go and come with me on my crazy adventures and ideas.

I'd love to hear one special memory of your courtship...what moment/day/event stands out for you?

We have so many memories that were special for both of us- Brayden supported me through my entire nursing degree and was cheering the loudest when I graduated as a registered nurse. We brought a brand new car Feb 2022 together. Brayden had never had brand car in his life ever so that was massive achievement for us. Brayden coming up with the spontaneous idea of travelling across Northern Territory for month with the brand new car and swag. The day we come home after a month, we were so proud of ourselves for hardly arguing the entire trip and making some amazing memories. We are already planning to make more awesome memories with a road trip to Western Australia next year.

What Does Marriage Mean To You?

To us it is committing to each other for life, to be there for each other on the hardest days of each others lives.

What was the main inspiration behind your wedding day?

We wanted our wedding to be outdoors and surrounded by nature. We love being outside camping, and fishing. So our ceremony was surrounded by rainforest trees with a beautiful running creek. Reception was open grass paddock and all wedding photo’s surrounded by fresh canola flowers. Colour theme was all shades of green. We wanted to support local businesses and show our beautiful family homes off. We are both very family oriented people.

How would you describe your day? How did you feel?

We were both very nervous but excited at the same time. It was a very special moment for both of us.

What was your favourite part of the wedding day?

M: walking into the reception being officially announced as Mr and Mrs Prandolini- bray carrying me into the reception still give me butterflies

B: our first dance being surrounded by family and embracing each other with our favourite song

Were there any surprises or honourable mentions you’d like to talk about?

The speeches were such surprises. Very heart felt, emotional and touching.

How does it feel to be Mr & Mrs?!

We absolutely love it, it just feels right. I love knowing I have my partner for life.
