How To Walk In Front Of The Camera

As with standing poses, your weight distribution as you walk is super important. If you walk normally, there’s a chance your portraits could look like a penguin walking! Yikes!

This may surprise you but there’s a couple of tricks I can share with you that will make an enormous difference and will guarantee that you will look hot in your portraits! (and who doesn’t want to look hot huh?)
A fabulous opportunity to summon your inner super model, this is easier than you think!

Straight Spine!

Start by standing up straight! Imagine that there is an invisible string holding you up from your spine to the top of your head. Keep your shoulders slightly back, and hold yourself as straight as you can.

Be Like Gisele Bündchen

Now that might land as a bit of a stretch, Gisele is a bit of a hard act to follow I admit, but I promise you this tip doesn’t just work for super models! It can be the difference between a looking good and looking hot!

Place one foot in front of the other and walk with long strides. Imagine that you are walking on a rope by keeping one foot in front of the other walk, which will allow your hips to swing from side to side in that classic model way. Yes it may feel weird and awkward, but this will change the weight distribution in your hips making it look much more flattering in the portrait.
