Holly & Josh were a last minute booking with little opportunity to get to know them prior to the shoot so it was with excited anticipation that I drove to St Kilda Botanical Gardens to meet them for what was basically a full dress shoot before they flew off to Bali the following week to get married!
How cool! I loved the whole idea of what they were creating, an elopement to Bali! So adventurous!
You can imagine my delight when I saw how much effort the bridal party had gone to, they looked amaze-balls!! Full hair and make-up and ready for a shoot, they were up for it! We had a lot of fun and made the most of parts of St Kilda. I do love Melbourne and Josh & Holly know her well, it was awesome!
I did have some concern for the shoot as It was in the middle of the day so not a photographer’s favourite time of day. Melbourne delivered a gorgeous day with not a cloud in sight! Once again not ideal for a shoot! Well, I need not have had a concern! How good do they look?? Full sun and shadows did not matter!
It is crazy how great my work is, it is never work for me. Getting to know couples in love, having full permission to ask them to do whatever I want to get “that shot”, witnessing the love of families (this never fails to move me), the privilege of even being asked….how good can it get??
